
I don't think there is anything you can do to prevent it only relieve the symptoms if they occur. Paediatric Benyln is very soothing. If it appears to be developing into a chest infection you will need antibiotics from the vet but please keep them in the car until speaking to the vet who will either examine them in the car or instruct you how they can access the surgery without risking other dogs. You need to keep them well away from any other dogs for this, possible, incubation period and for 2 weeks after the last clinical symptoms if they do develop it, any very young or elderly dogs can be seriously affected.
