The big winning rottie just got beaten for best of breed, so he wont make the group.

Damn, I was going to say the Rottie too! (Sssh, don't tell the Newfs though) :D

Best in show? Ben Fogle in his speccies, yum yum!!!!!!

Course he is an absolute bimbo, couldn't remember Chances sex and thought he was an Australian Mountain Dog then just a Austratlian.............er dog! :D but who cares with such eye candy :p
i picked up on that too! the owner had to correct him that he was a cattle dog not a mountain dog, and in the end he was just a.....dog!!
By Daisy
Date 09.03.06 21:18 UTC
Not a cattle dog (yuck :D ) - an Australian Shepherd Dog :D :D

By sam

By Isabel
Date 09.03.06 21:24 UTC

Well, yea you have a point :D but don't you think the situation is redeamable with good schooling? :)

Daisy

Oh indeed! My husband is from Port Glasgow, for those that don't know it, think Glasgow and move
down the Clyde a bit

but fantasies are different ;)
By Daisy
Date 09.03.06 21:27 UTC

He was a beautiful blue merle - not too white, not too solid :) My next Aussie will be just like him :D :D :D
Daisy
That Aussie was gorgeous!!! Wow, could it move!!! BUT get rid of Ben Fogle! Bring back Clare Balding!!
By Isabel

>Bring back Clare Balding!!
:D :D :D :D :D

I sent the BBC an E-Mail telling them how BAD Ben was!!! I said the least they could do was to get someone who actually KNEW something about dogs to present it!! LOL MOUNTAIN DOG!!! What is he like!!??? :D :D :D
Out of interest, did anyone watch the follow up programme to when he rowed across the Atlantic?? I think James Cracknell said if he never saw Ben again it would be too soon!!! LOL

Good, less competition

Aaaaaaaargh! Any more Bromide I might start to wish they would bring back Clare Balding ;)
I am so pleased that the Aussie won best of group :) It was stunning. We watched it in the aussie ring earlier in the day and were very impressed. All the Aussies looked gorgeous in my eyes though!
Congratulations to all you champdogs members that went to crufts today whether you got placed or not,
Jessica

That wasn't quite so when we left, but the clever Police wouldn't let people onto the M42 (no accident or anything that we could ascertain) and we had to go to Coventry and double back! Not amused at getting home an hour later when I am back there in the morning for an 8.30 judging start.

Barbara there had been a major accident hence the delays getting out of the car park.

The accident was in the Stafford direction, nothing to do with the M42 Southbound at all. We had the Radio on to check.
Saw the 'Aussie' breed for the first time ever today - wow fabulous dogs! Really gorgeous. Lucky you :) (to Daisy! post ended up in wrong place!)

The Aussie was stunning....nice to see the Shepherd get group 2 though :)
Well done to everybody by the way :D

Yeah and the ever young 'India' ( Terv) got group 3 at over 11 years old - now THATS a dog :D
Think the Aussie could go all the way this year but also thought that Bouvier was fabulous !
Yvonne

The Rottie looked very long in the body to me, but not my breed. Anyone here judge Rotties?
I've seen her at a number of shows and think she is quite nice. What you have to remember is, she is only 16 months old!!! She's probably going through some changes. I didn't think she was at her best, she seemed tired when she was challenging for BOB, especially compared to Rolex, so I was quite surprised that she got group 4. The bouv' deserved it, absolutley gorgeous:rolleyes:
