I have been looking for a weenie yorkie, preferably male.  I live in the south east.  My e-mail address is tracey.love@btinternet.com.

Thanks Tracey

Hi
I hope you dont mean by "weenie" that you are looking for an undersized, likely to suffer with health problems yorkshire terrier :(

Have a look at the breed standard At the bottom of that page are contact details for the breed clubs. I would suggest you contact them and ask about reputable breeders in your area who breed nice and healthy pups. :)

Well, as a rule Male Yorkies that are shown are bred to be around 4 to 4 and a half pounds, whereas the bitches are bred to be around 7 to 7 and a half pounds at the most! Obviously for breeding purposes the bitches need to be bigger! I would recommend that you speak to either Pat Mitchell from the Yorkie club, who is a very nice helpful lady, who holds a list of who has puppies available, or contact your breed secreatary, from the clubs nearest to you. These are all listed on the Kennel Club site, under the breed standard and have contact phone numbers there too...I've recently bought a ickle boy, he's 12 months old now and I am expecting another from the breeder in a couple of weeks. Both secretarys I spoke to were very helpful. All the best, Dawn
