Heard some bad stories about them on the equine side of things. Put it this way - there are insurers out there with better reputations ;)

I'm with E&L at the moment but I changing took ages to pay out and when they did they put a clause saying they wouldn't pay out on heart conditions.  We'd took our dog to a specialist consultant because when a routine check to be spayed after sedating her they said they found a small murmour.  After specialist had seen her they said there was nothing wrong.
I protested with E&L saying there was nothing wrong with her so why were they putting the clause in?  Wouldn't change their minds so we're changing insurers.

I am also with E&L (AFI as they advertise before you see a direct debit going to E&L) I have not yet had to claim for them (touch wood) but I do have an appointment with the vet soon so I guess I will find out how good or bad they are, I will be sure to keep you updated!
