My attitude is that up to the time weaning really gets under way the pups will have immunity to all the things the bit6ch has encountered, so I take my lot out on their normal walks. I do pay attention to whether there is an outbreak of anything.
Had a scary moment with most recent litter as a pup from last litter who had been staying with me developed kennel cough some weeks later when the litter were young, but none of mine did and pups were fine.
I would tend to take Mum on lead walks only, just because all my good walks are at least 20 minutes each way from my house, and Mum wouldn't want to be gone that long up until the pups are fully weaned.
Don't se anything wrong with using a diluted disinfectant on the bitch if that makes the breeder happier.
