Cavaliers are real people dogs & don't like being left but can learn to cope with a few hours, but you need to be there all the time when you first get your puppy so you can train him/her to get used to being left & being in a crate for the puppy's safety as they will chew anything if they get bored & have access to things they should not chew
They can take an little or as much exercise as you like when they are adult but like all puppies need careful exercise when young.
The parents must have a current eye & heart certificate & this will be on thepuppies KC registrations as well as the parents eye & heart test certificates. they should also both be free from luxating patellas(slipping knee caps)
I advise anyone who is thinking about getting a cavalier to be very very careful as they are a very commercal breed & always visit the breeder & see the mum & puppies(dad might not be there as many people use outside stud dogs, but the breeder should have all his details & a photograph)
I live in the north of England but my dogs come from a breeder 200 miles away as I know I can trust their breeding unlike some of the local breeders & I also like their dogs
