My dog doesn't have annual vaccinations so doesn't go to the vet unless there's a problem.
She is a 7 year old toy breed, and I just wondered if she should have a regular check up - I don't want to be a bad owner !!
If so, how often and what should I ask to be done ?
TIA
My vet does the 3 yearly booster protocol, but offers a free health check on the other 2 years. As my two are now in double digits they no longer have any boosters at all, so I booked them in for senior dog health-checks last month. It was a general exam covering heart and lungs, eyes, ears, teeth, a weight check and a couple of general health Q & A's. (I do their routine urine tests at home). I can't be certain whether I paid for this, as I was collecting some tablets at the same time, but I certainly wasn't charged a full consult fee for the check-ups.
