Update:
Since our ordeal the other night, my girl seems to be none the worse. Thankfully, pops had the day off and he came round earlier than expected. She was following him around as he pottered about the garden. She kept pestering him for a fuss and then happily ate the breakfast she'd refused when he offered it to her. I'm so glad he came over as it took my mind off things too and we spent most of the day filling planters and making hanging baskets.
I just wanted to thank you all for your kind words of support and encouragement. It's hard when the people around you aren't 'dog people', they simply don't understand why we worry and stress so much. The secretary called yesterday to confirm that the member has been barred until he can show he is of the respecatle calibre the social club requires.
I can't blame the vet for being so doom and gloom as I've never met them. Hopefully she will hang on now for the last 15 days or so and there'll be a happy outcome.
Jean, lovely story...well not what happened to your girl but you know what I mean!
