
The main thing you need for ringcraft is lots of really nice treats that your dog loves -forget boring shop bought ones, think liver, sausage, cheese, anything like that. It's also good to practice with the showlead you will be using for shows as it would normally be different to the normal lead, so treats and showlead are the two things I'd bring.
I think MOST dogs, no matter how experienced, will get bored after 10 minutes of standing. :) You don't often have to stand still for so long in the ring. You will need the stand when the judge looks over the entire class at the beginning, when it is your turn to be judged, and when everyone in the class has been seen and the judge is about to pick their placings, but in between, when he or she is looking at other dogs, relax your dog, give treats, have some fun. :)
