I have one that will not toilet (though happy to wee) in the back garden unless she is bursting and will get very persistent on insisting on a walk if she needs to.
If you have over the years got her used to an early morning toilet walk she does actually need it.
You might try over a period of time taking her out 10 minutes later than the last time until the morning wee walk is at a more reasonable time.
Mine go to bed at 11pm or later and are happy until 8am.
Sometimes having quite set routines (which dogs like) means you make a rod for your own back I'm afraid. It took me ages to get mien from a 7-7.30 am wake up routine which applied when the children were at home and was getting them up for school, to the current more leisurely mornings now they have left home. Still have to get up before OH to start their day.
