> Today we found a young cat she is wearing no collar and no micro chip so atm she is staying in my daughters room
How do you know the cat is 'lost' as opposed to just wandering around?
I 'found' a kitten a few years back. The poor little thing appeared to be starving and desperate to get in my house, so I assumed he was 'lost'. I took him in, fed him and if it wasn't for my mum going door-to-door to see if somebody had a kitten matching his description, I'd have never found out he belonged to my neighbour. He wasn't 'lost' he was just a little pig for food that enjoyed human company and would go around looking for people to pet him.
Only a couple of weeks ago I 'found' an adult cat. It was stuck ontop of my neighbours porch, meawing it's head off. I got her down and she was trying to get in my hosue. She appeared to be 'lost', but I left her outside, it took her about an hour before she gave up trying to get my attention and wandered off down the road, she only lives a few doors away.
It may be a better idea to go door-to-door inthe area she was found in to find ehr owners. I personally would not bring a cat into my home, unless it was injured and needed medicle attention (then, I'd just take it to the vet).
