I have heard it can do, but I think modern pig-rearing methods cover that, also pigs are no longer fed on human food-waste after F&M.
Always remember my mother slapping my hand if I tried to nibble raw bacon rind as a kid (yes I was weird) saying I'd get worms, but then she used to say that if I tried to eat raw pastry too - back in the old days pastry was made with pig lard so I guess it might have had some truth in it. There's something else it use to carry too - trichomoniasis? or something like, don't think it does nowadays.
