opps,the dreaded do it yourself,
i trained as a hairdresser and i can tell you that if it is an 8 wash semi it will fade and wash out, any other length of time will not wash or fade out completely, the same if you have to mix two bottles together it is not semi even if it says it on the box, now,you could do the sensible thing and dont go out,and wait till the hairdresser fixes it!! or you could try washing it a few times,or put a darker brown over the top, you should go for a brown with the words ash in it as anything that has warm or red tones will go red and fade, and the same with anything with the words copper or golden will fade and not to a nice colour so,i would really leave it, but if you cant, get a box of a good make dye with the colour ash brown, if you have some vaseline put it all around the hairline and your ears to stop it staining the skin, and do not be tempted to leave it on longer as it will go dark, usually when buying a brown dye it tends to go one shade darker than the picture on the box anyway, and also be careful if you have a sensitive scalp. I know how you feel, i was blond for years then i decided at home i wanted that gorgeous real red look, sadly i came out looking like pink candy floss hehe, then i went black for a while(what we do when we are young ) and now i am a good old brown again,
good luck
