LOL
We bought a new fridge last year, it's lovely and big so we don't have to cram stuff on the shelves and since our cooker broke down last christmas we haven't really been cooking as normal so also only buying what we're going to cook. After 10 months one of the shelves broke at the front side edge where it is supported, we thought it must be our fault, 2 months later and the other one goes in the same place, not sure, but not really convinced it's not our fault, then 6 weeks later a third shelf begins to bend at the same place

this, despite the fact that by now the fridge is almost empty because I have no kitchen, no cooker and we are living on microwaved baked potatoes and salad :(
We go back to the shop who tell us to phone the manufacturer. After being passed to 4 - yes 4! different people my OH is told that the shelves are
COSMETIC only and as such are not covered by the extended guarantee which came with the fridge

Luckily Consumer Direct agree with me that the shelves in any fridge are a necessary part of the equipment so we have been given advice and it is being dealt with by the shop (who should have done so in the first place  )
So beware when buying your white goods, that washing machine door may just be for the look of the thing! and don't bother with extended warranties, they are worthless (we didn't pay for it tho ;) )
