Does anyone have one of these puzzles for their dog and if so what do you think. I want to get some for the dogs at the shelter I work for (and my own dog) but wont spend the money if they aren't worth it.

Cheers

I think someone on the listserv I'm on bought one for her dog, and he loved it.  He is the kind of dog that likes solving problems though.  I don't know that all of mine would find them very interesting, although the young dog probably would.

Yes, I have two of them! The Dog Brick and the Dog Smart. My dog, a fox terrier, is extremely food oriented and will do almost anything for a treat, so these toys are great fun for her. She found the dog smart easiest to deal with and picked it up very quickly, however once the treats are eaten she wants to run off with the little cylinders and chew them. The dog brick has sliding blocks over the compartments and, strangely, has been more frustrating for her - I find it strange because, as a terrier, she is very quick to use her paws on most things, but not on the dog brick. She is easily frustrated, and will simply get annoyed with the toy if she cannot work out how to get the treats. I don't use them often enough for her to become very familiar with them, so each time I bring them out it is exciting for her. The toys are very well made. Overall, I think she and I both prefer the Dog Smart.
