this radio station advertises a puppy supermarket saying get your loved one a puppy for christmas,on there website it states they do all they can for rescue centres,this is a well known place nr Manchester sure many of you will know it,I have emailed smooth fm radio with my concerns about the advertisment of this cruel awful place and they are not helping animals by doing this,it may help if some of champdogs ladies would also email them,

This is the same company that owns Real Radio (Yorkshire amongst others places) they did the same this summer. I e-mailed them several times, I e-mailed the KC, I got lots of other people to e-mail them, I stopped listening to the station in protest and have told them so many times -no luck. :( It's DISGRACEFUL.

smooth radio got back to me,they said they cannot stop advertisments as there are very strict guide lines,so just a money making thing .by the way the plase is called dogs 4 us.

Aggghhh, I listen to it on my way home from work as I love the music.  Never heard the advert though.

maybe complaining to dog trust will work better so I have just emailed thier press office , maybe other could do the same.

Yes, any of the welfare organisation may support negotiations to stop this. Maybe they could broadcast an advertisement immediately afterwards reminding people not to buy dogs for Christmas, see puppy with mother etc.

Yes that's the reply everyone else got as well with Real Radio, and yes it's the same shop -they have one in Leeds as well.

I've just looked at the website of this place - I'm appalled!
