Boxer puppy 10 days old, started screaming at about lunch time today, vet says it may just be colic but she has lost a little weight and is a bit dehydrated (sp) has moments when she is quiet then starts shreiking again, sounds very painfull. Not feeding very well and hardly doing the toilet regardless of stimulaition..................................HELP

Has mum perhaps steeped on it funny and hurt it? perhaps it is constipated? Did you take it into the vets? im sorry i dont really know much but those are the things that spring to mind. I know one of my puppies seemed to be making alot of noise and it needed its bottom cleaned as poo had dried on forming a little blockage during the night and when i cleaned it off it immedietly went and seemed very relieved. Hopefully an experienced breeder will see this soon.

You will get many suggestions from people who dont know just how stoical boxers are and if it were another breed then I'd say wait and see......................... but boxers put up with a huge amount of pain before letting us know .........so this is serious....get back to the vet, contact the breeder and dont accept that screaming is anything but a red light in this instance.

I am the breeder.

Little Lana lost the fight at 6 this morning the poor little mite after a night of being nursed and nurtured. She went down hill very quickly, her 3 sisters are doing well but her poor fur mum is searching for her.

Thanks you for all your help.

Thanks guys.

We put Lana in with her mum (nala) and she gave her a clean and a nudge and then left her alone so we have now buried her in our woods to run free.

So sorry to hear about your loss (im in bits reading it). Even such a tiny little mite can leave a big hole in your heart. I hope the other babies grow up healthy and strong.
