Topic Dog Boards / General / ~Cartoon Dogs ?
- By Leigh [us] Date 09.02.02 08:33 UTC
My nephew has been set a project to collect the names of dogs that appear in cartoons.

So far, he has:

Doodles
Squiggles
Sweep
Scooby-Doo
Scrappy-Doo
Pluto
Toto
Goofy
Hector
Rhubarb
Dougal
Muttley
Dino Flintstone
Lady & The Tramp

Can anyone think of any more?
- By Kerioak Date 09.02.02 08:39 UTC
Dodo and Perdita? the ones from 101 Dalmations - I seem to remember some of the pups had names as well.

Basher - Dennis The Menace's dog

I seem to remember a cartoon (newspaper) with a daschund - Fritz?

Chips - Dog World

Is Peanuts the dog in that newspaper cartoon?

The dogs from "Rupert" - Bulldog, Peke etc

More questions than answers I am afraid

How about Snoopy
- By lisa [gb] Date 09.02.02 10:03 UTC
Hong Kong Phooey (showing my age I'm afraid)
Brutus (the bulldog in Tom & Jerry)
Santa's little helper (simpsons)
Dougal (would Magic Roundabout count)
Deputy Dawg( the one who sings oh my darlin clemantine)

If he really wants to be clever this web page has a link of all the cartoon dogs used in any warner bros production. Their names and the cartoons in which they appeared.
