Sonny, Chers Brother (littermate) has had a rough start to his show career.  He was getting dumped in the ring again and again, but yesterday at the local dog show (Brantford Kennel Club) he got BEST OF BREED over a Champion, his sister.

Handled wonderfully by my daughter, Crespin, in the class ring, and then handed off to me for the breed.  (Crespin showed her Special for the Breed ring).  When we let the owner know (my sister) that Sonny had gotten the breed, it took her a while to understand that it was Sonny that took it.  She was starting to get discouraged in the show ring, because Sonny wasnt placing.

Congrats Sonny on your first point!!!!

ok Mom, so you beat me.  lol

I am really pleased with Sonny, taking the breed.  He showed beautifully, and deserved it (many times over I think).  He has a wonderful Hackney gait, like no other min pin out there right now (well in Ontario that is).

Cher, spitting????  Nah, she took breed today.  But she is rather Bull Like.  Meaning, I tell her foot back and she scrapes her back foot along the ground, like a bull going to a red cape.  Its funny.  But her feet usually place in the spot I want her to place them, so its good.

Anyways, CONGRATS SONNY MY BOY!!!!  Such a dream dog to handle, more rein trained than show trained.  Move the leash slightly in a direction, and he will fix that foot.  Say "Straighten up" and he stands gorgous on the table.  What a dream to show!
