My reply would start with Bugger $$$, idiots!!!

I would give a very short reply as well, will never understand why people want to change breeds when there are so many lovely breeds to chose from, I am SO against creating designer breeds, I hope those idiots get absolutely nobody to help them with their stupid plan.

Oh dear....................Now, do we get to read your reply Sam   ;-)   Or, did you not bother to waste your time?
- By sam Date 27.11.08 19:46 UTC
i was waiting for some witty suggestions before I reply :)

Did they send a pic of this crossbreed? :-)
- By LindyLou [gb] Date 27.11.08 20:44 UTC
You could always ask them how far they think they will have to travel to get to you ;-)

Who on earth would want to breed a Bloodhound with a Golden Retriever  Do they expect the dog to retrieve it's 'prey' ? ;-)

With the number of hound breeds and types already availble in America, I'd have thought the last thing they need across the pond would be another Hound 'breed'  :( :( :(

Scroll down the page to the hounds- plenty to choose from ;)

You can not be too harsh with these people in America the amount of cross breeding going on is now the norm, so they don't realise what they are doing by mixing up the breeds.

Using irony or wit they wouldn't understand! so not much point in trying! :-)

Sam, why the problem???????? :-D :-D

Oh dear, you have to laugh, I couldn't even be bothered to reply, there is no point with queries like this, just have a giggle and delete. :-)

They are obviously naive people so you could always use this as an opportunity to educate them...
- By Freds Mum [gb] Date 28.11.08 10:01 UTC
I can see why people would say not to e mail them back, but they will keep trying until someone sees £ signs and agrees to breed. maybe sending them a neutral (non aggresive) informative e mail it might make them think and put them off the idea.
Education is the way forward

Agreee with gembo- if you have the time to reply seriously and explain why we are so anti these ridiculous designer breeds you may even convert them to buying a pedigree dog and not breed at all. That would be a result right? I know it frustrates breeders to get emails like that, but is it not an opportunity to make people see sense, or are they just blind and generally not open to your wisdom?
