Just watched the first episode of Survivors, and remembered the original series, way back in the 70s.

Guess what we had then?   Oil problems, 3-day weeks, and self sufficiency all over the place ........

I'm so cross with myself! I loved the original series and always hoped it would be repeated, so I was thrilled to find out that at last it would be. So why did I not notice when it was on? I missed it!!! Aaaaarrrrghhhh!

Next episode is on Tuesday at 9pm.

BBC I-Player JG!  You have a week to watch it.  Maybe it is repeated sometime in the week also.  I set it to record when I was on the phone to my mother - she mentioned it wasn't her sort of programme.  She is missing Frost!

I watched it and thought it was really good. Quite scary though.

I think the original was scripted by Terry Nation, who was high up in the production of Dr Who. Could be wrong though!

I hadn't realised this was a remake, I've sky+ it so will probably watch it 2nite before settling in for a late night of Jack Bauer!

Very unlikely in your case and you are right it was him :-D

Do you remember in the original series, there would be sometimes be an aeroplane in the sky?  I remember seeing cars and lorries too from time to time :)

Perhaps we need a new 'The Good Life' for real 1970's 3 day week authenticity!!
