Does anyone know of somewhere I can get a really nice rolled leather collar? Since my girl has lost all her weight, her old one no longer fits so I want to treat her to a new one. I know there's a stand that I've seen at shows and they do a really good selection, but I can't for the life of me remember the name. Thanks in advance!

beware that most of them are not rolled...they are a piece of leather cut into a roll shape....but they are not rolled as many people just dont want to be bothered to make them properly any more :(((

Yes please, Christine. I know the sort of collar I'd ideally like, but can't find one anywhere. I can't even find nice (there are Timberwolf ones but I don't like them) buckled rolled leather collars locally.

Me too, I use the shaped round half checks, but as pointed out the rolled ovesewn over twine ones are much stronger.

I do! I find often people are not interested in seeking out properly made leatherwork any more, because the time it takes to hand sew and the quality leathers DO bump up the price.. when they can buy something for a few quid and throw it away when it looks tatty.

Maybe its just me but as a horse-mad kid I was taught only to buy hand sewn quality english leather and look after it well, and it would outlive the dog or horse it was bought for, but these days it doesnt seem to be the done thing any more.

The Accolade ones are not rolled but shaped round, very good, hand sewn, but not as strong as the rolled ones, but of course neater.

Yes they do, but are very limited to colour and size I think?? I need 'ickle red rolled collars and are a devil to find...!!!

Only thing I can suggest then is to find your nearest saddler and see if they can help you.  I bought ones from Accolade as "house collars" and am very happy with them, although they aren't the proper rolled leather, they do the job perfectly.
