Would you breed from a bitch with no previous vaccination history. Books advise not to vaccinate/booster on the onset of a season (if planning to breed).

Hi Aly

Depending on how much time you have before her season, you could titre test to check if she has any antibodies, at least then you know if she has any cover to pass onto the puppies.  I have known dogs that have never been vaccinated (not even the puppy jabs) and they have built immunity to every disease so you never know.

No, I would regard it as too high a risk for me.  Could it not wait for another season?

Why can't you vaccinate b4 a season, is it because of live vaccine? How late is too late, b4 the bleeding or swelling?
