im not going, had planned to but the classes in my breed were yearling, post grad and open and as i have a pup of 11 months i would have to put him in post grad. i phoned show secretary to ask about it and got quite a clipped answer so im boycotting! and thought it would be nice to have a quiet weekend, had RR champ show last weekend and clydebank next week so will be nice relaxing and got a lovely walk planned tomorrow, so fingers crossed weather is nice.
good luck tomorrow!

Hello Suzanne

I no longer enter LKA Scotland for similar reasons.
Will be there tomorrow to steward, only because it is another member
of the committee who organises the stewards.

Hope you have a great walk, and the weather is good for you.

Wow, you're lucky!  In my breed at most Scottish open shows we get PG or O and thats it!    LOL!  Pups & Juniors have to go in with the 'big boys'.

it wasnt that to be honest, though every show ive been at so far is ether just the big classes like open or it has a junior and post grad etc. i was more annoyed at the manner in which i was spoken to on the phone. im very new to showing and had phoned up to enquire about the age limits of yearling class and the lady on the phone was quite unhelpful even although i explained i was a total newbie!
so thought i would leave it, have a nice quiet day with my pup and relax!

Hi, Suzanne loved the photographs, can only say that you didn't miss anythig much.  It was just your everyday dog show LOL.  Parking was horrendous, juding was delayed by 30 mins to allow folk stuck in the traffic to get parked somewhere near the venue and walk in.  The sports centre is having some upgrade work and new facilities added so the car park is half the ususal size, lot of people were parked out on the main road back towards Bathgate town centre. There was a fire alarm and I was surprised at how long some folk took to start moving toward the fire exits.  Turned out to be an electrical fault somewhere, which is just as well for us lot as with cars parked all over the place I don't think the fire brigade would have got close enough without having move or pushe cars out the way.
And as usual it was colder in the venue than it was outside.  I stewarded in the toy ring and judge and exhibitors alike (once they recoverd from the forced march into the venue from there cars) seemed to have a great day.
I got to meet (Kenya) Fiona and her Great Danes, (love your hair Fiona) as well.

Yes, a exciting day, got stuck in mud with the van, had to be towed out, will standing outside waiting when the fire alarm went off ,my dane decided to jump on me, covering me in mud!!
so was splattered from head to toe, once back inside, we were next in the ring, my dane was as high as a kite, but still got a 2nd out of 4, after doing a kangaroo around the ring!!! lol

And nice to say hello to Abbeypap, sorry terrible with names!!

Thanks for the comment about my hair, had varied comments!!

Don't worry about the secretary she has a bad manner with her and I have had words with her before now, don't let it put you off going to shows. It was a good day and we did quite well in the toy ring.
