Can anyone recommend a good SIMPLE book for beginners who are considering feeding an all raw diet??

Billingshurst seems to be the foundation for most, but I'd say Kymythy Shulz is more more 'digestible' for the new reader.

With HG here - a good mentor is IMO better than anything else when going down the raw route :) 

Breed specific advice is often far more important than general info as some breeds have specific dietary requirements which for the majority of breeds would not need to be so carefully addressed (if at all).  I know it can seem a bit of a nightmare at the beginning but IME some who feed raw diets make things sounds far too complicated and so put off many beginners before they've ever got started.  Equally others can be a little too blase about it so that's why I think a mentor and wide ranging advice and suggestions are of greater benefit.

Have you considered joinging the Britbarf Yahoo list?  There's a wealth of info and advice readily available from there and no question is ever regarded as silly :)

Yes what HG and Teri say is right a good mentor is probably the best, my dogs breeder helped me which is great, but if you don't have a mentor then reading as much as possible about it and keeping the books for reference is the next best I think :)
