I am loving the Barclays advert - the one where he goes home from work on a slide .  I love it where he gets stuck in the library and his bum squeaks !

Anyone else have favourite ads ?
- By rachelsetters Date 11.11.08 21:07 UTC
Oh that one drives me mad!!!  Can't understand what it has to do with Barclays!!!  The music is growing on me though - find myself singing it!

There is a couple of ads I like at the mo but do you know can't think of them!!! Brain like a sieve me ;)

Does nothing for Barclays but very funny - he is a local lad and friend of our friend's son who also went into acting for a while so will sit and watch it because of that!

Barclay's add makes me smile too.  The one that get's to me is the Kingsmill add where the young child shoves a load of bread in her mouth, I keep think noooooo she's going to choke.  I thought it was me being my usual hypersensitive self but I know a few people who like me switch over when this add comes on!

"Does nothing for Barclays but very funny" "Cant undersatnd what it does for barclays"

Well if we all remember it and are talking about then it is doing something for Barclays :-)

I like the Hovis ad where the lad goes to buy a loaf and travels through history.
Very clever, war, world cup, the mini, fireworks for the Millenium...
I like the Lloyds one as well ... the high pitch singing... Pointer joins in every time !!
- By AliceC Date 12.11.08 08:17 UTC
I love the one for Lloyds TSB I think it is - with the aardvark when they lift the roof off their house and get in the shower - I just think it's really sweet :-)

The Barclays one drives my Cavalier mad, she loves watching TV but when his bum squeaks, it sounds like a dog barking so she always has to run to the TV to tell him off !!

I love the old rolos? one I think it was where there is a baby elephant and the kid pulls them away, then years later the adult elephant comes back along and wacks the man in the face lol
- By perrodeagua [gb] Date 12.11.08 13:31 UTC
Thompson1 that has to be one of my all time faves too!

I allways loved the oxo and anchor butter ads, one of my dizzy cousins asking how they managed to get the cows to dance like that lol.
Like the Barclays advert just wish I could have one of those slides for our house would be alot easier to go shopping etc the kids would love it, not to sure the dogs would though :-)

> I love the Gorilla

Me too! Loving the new version too! However I just don't get the vehicles racing at the airport although it now features Bon Jovi so I'm still happy...

I like the Aero advert with Smith from SATC fresh out of the shower....wow!!

Gavin and Stacey?  I think his name is Robert Wilford - got a dreadful memory for names.  I know he has been in something funny here in Wales.  They must have used a stunt double on that slide!!!  I can remember going to Wet and Wild when our children were about 10 and 8. My daughter wanted to go on the Stucker (the one where you go down vertical for a while) so our son went on the Blue Niagara which looked rather like the one on the advert.  He looked rather shocked when he came out the other end!  My daughter was calm as a cucumber!

My OH hates that ad- I always make a point of staring intently the entire time even if he is mid sentence. Ha ha ha- I do love that ad :-D
- By lilacbabe Date 16.11.08 20:12 UTC
used to love the one about the wee Jack Russell in the volkswagon car .
He was realy confident and singing when he was in the car but when out of the car on his lead he shivered  and looked like a wee coward and his voice went all wimpy.
Think add was stopped as lots of complaints were made as they thought the dog was being abused !!
daft as if these people knew what JRT'S were like they would get what the add was all about .
- By Isabel Date 16.11.08 20:24 UTC
Brilliant! But far too short!
- By suejaw Date 16.11.08 21:27 UTC
I loved that ad too for the Polo..
Typical JRT as well...

Isobel how do you  manage to attach stuff to view on your posts ?
Is it quite simple to do ?
- By Isabel Date 16.11.08 22:49 UTC
Type your title.  Then highlight it with your cursor. Then click on url in the little box above.
This will give you Title
Then place cursor between = and ] and paste in your link
voila Title
