my only experience of prolonged bleeding after matings i am afraid resulted in the same bitch missing twice, she did bleed a little long on our third and final attempt and again i thought she had missed and resided myself to the fact that i was never to have puppies from her and the last fortnight she has grown and is due now much to my amazement - just keep a close eye on her for anything that seems unusual for her as my girl went off her food at about 4 weeks post mating and did develop pyo, so just be vigilant

I hope all is well and you are successful with her - good luck

One of my girls bled from the start of her season till the day she whelped (definitely not normal though) she stayed on Synulox for the whole of her pregnancy, she had 7 healthy pups at the end.

Good luck

My Lexi bled until about a month after her season started and missed.  The next season she also continued bleeding for the full four weeks or so and went on to have a healthy litter.

Her daughter has been mated two weeks ago and is still showing some colour, so keeping fingers crossed.  Neither showed an abnormal or smelly discharge.

Any green discharge points to infection and needs to be monitored carefully.
