Does anyone know where i can buy  a Poncho, a woollen one, my father is in a wheel chair and finds it very difficult to put a coat on , I thought a Poncho would be easier, have tried the poncho shop on line but  they are not answering my messages. many thanks

Is a jacket to hard do to zipper?

Just wondering cause my grandma found zipper and buttons hard- I had velcro added on but left the buttons just incase :-)

There for sale on ebay. Plus scottish woollen Mills do them but a bit pricey.

can you not knit one yourself, i did and it is the best thing i have, it is so easy to slip on when out walking the dogs and there is just a nip in the air and i really do not want a coat on, it is great just to put on over my suit before i go into the ring to keep me nice and warm, and i am just about to start knitting another one really bright colours as well , my daughters will not come out with me when i have mine on they say they are so old fashion, so this year in a couple of the shops they shop at what is in the windows ponchos and guess what they want now

Most wool shops have people who knit items for them ( i had a baby cardi knitted )you could ask in one but obviously there will be a charge .
Or is there not a specialist company that sells such items for wheelchair users ? I have seen someone wearing a special wheelchair ' pac-a-mac ' style raincoat that fits around the edge of the chair to keep rain out .

Does your dad mind the idea of a poncho?
Mine would be horrified!

Mine too.  I do understand the difficulties of clothing when using a wheelchair as this is something we encountered with my mother but ponchos are perhaps more for the bohemian type :-).  What about a Gentlemans cape in woven wool or tweed?  Might that be his sort of thing?

I think you can get them of waxed cotton as well.
