Thanks everyone for your replies to my question my lightweight whippet! He does help himself to quite a bit of horse poo so that's not the answer (unfortunately). I do give them tripe now and again and he seems to be ok on that, is that fattening? Jan, the answer to your question is 9 months old, so i'm hoping that now he's not growing so much and with the dark nights and not so much running around with his brother he will put on a bit. Josh was the runt of the litter so isn't as strong as he could be but he's a happy little soul, I will let you all know how he does. Thanks again.

Tripe will put weight on him if you feed enough :-)

I think you will start to see a difference in him from 15 to 18 months. My boy was spare to look at until he was 2 years old. He just never seemed to have enough weight and looked angular. At 3 years he has now gained weight and eats well. Keep us posted Regards Jan
We were recommended Red-Mills racer for weight gain. It was the red-mills sales chap who recommeded it <G>
But he does have racing whippets and IS very knowledgable about the breed (Ive forgotten his name unfortunately)
I usually suggest whippet owners post on a whippet based board we use a lot, (in addition to this one Leigh!!) but it is down at the moment. I received this message from the board owner explaining why it was down
"The server was hacked by a group calling themselves FBH fighting for the freedom of Kashmir & Palestine"
Lets hope this is a one-off and no one will decide to affect champdogs.
