I have had my dogs hip and elbow score results back from the vet and do not agree with the score for the hip.  Is there any chance that I can get a second opinion

Do you mean from the panel?  You can appeal but I wonder why you think it is wrong.  Has your vet indicated it would be different?  Is it very different?

There is an appeals procedure, but it's still based on the original x-ray. Contact the KC for advice on how to proceed.

Yeah but you have to do it, I think within a few weeks.  I was unhappy about one of mine, the Spanish vet, my vet and a number of people were shocked by his score.  I didn't bother doing anything in the end but hey, his pups but one are all below breed average and one of his grandchildren has the lowest score in the country (well it's been joined by a certain persons dog on here :) )

you can appeal to the bva and they will re-submit the xrays for rescoring to the panel, to be honest from what I have heard in the past from other people that have done thiis (the fee is quite high too) is that the results are either the same or 1 or 2 digits higher, imo I wouldn't waste my money.
