Yes, hubby and daughter did a 7hr drive last night to collect my new pup this morning. I've just had a text to say that they are on the road again but it's going to be a long day, waiting for then to get home.

This is our first winter pup, not looking forward to toilet training in the freezing cold though!! lol This made me chuckle as we got Mitzy in the cold months and know what you mean about toilet training in the cold, BRRRRR!!!!!
Just make sure you have a big warm coat hanging up next to the back door as its the waiting round in the cold that does it lol :-D
We got Turbo in the warmer months and boy did we notice the difference lol
You must be sooo excited!!!!!!!!! :-D

LOL oh don't, it's sooo chilly at the moment :)
Yes our other two were both summer, your right it does make hell of a difference... still it's all part of the fun!! :)

I will be picking up my new puppy 'Ernie' on Monday 10th Nov. Can't wait.
ah what a lovley name :-) what breed is ernie?

He is a Curly Coated Retriever. I have changed his name so many times but will stick with Ernie.
We had several names but then when we seen her Bella sprung into my head and thats whats shes called now lol.

Bella is a lovely name, we used to have a GSD/Mastiff cross called Bella, she was gorgeous.

We still can't decide on a name, have a list going, will hopefully have some inspiration when i see him next week :) like the curly coat retriever, very nice :) love the name Ernie :) :)

I love the name Ernie - congrats on your new addition. I'm sitting tight waiting on a litter being born to see if Mother Nature has been kind enough to give me my much longed for gold boy.

I can join this thread as the bitch we are getting a puppy from was mated on Monday :-) :-) I need to give the breeders a call and find out how it all went...I'm very excited as I have been waiting for 4 years to have a puppy from this bitch and we have pick of the litter! I have everything crossed that she has at least one bitch pup.
Jaybrook - I adore Cockers, I hope you get your Golden boy! :-)
Good luck to all those with new pups - have fun!!

People can pick some great names for their dogs, I know a Retriever called Eric, a JR called Dave and my favourite is a Bichon Frise called Tyson, the owner is a huge great bloke all muscles tattoo's and piercings. :):):)
Massively off topic, but a good friend of mine breeds horses and allowed her 4 year old daughter to name the first foal of the season... you would think something cutesy right? SHE CHOSE MICHAEL! Makes me laugh every time. xx

We have friends who have a HUGE rottie called "Audrey" she is so sweet and a fellow walkers Vizla is called "Stanley". Love em...

I like Stanley :)
He's lovely woofs like a seal in labour!!!! My two have great fun with Stanley. Audrey is in the proverbial dogs house she went visiting last night and dragged the peoples rubbish bin into their dining room then unpacked it!!!!!!!

Good luck everyone with your new arrivals. I'm getting all broody now for a new pup. Misty was an autumn pup and I had many a good time in the garden in the freezing cold & pouring rain waiting for her to 'go'. It was worth it! :D
hi all congrat's on your new addition's i would sooo love to be going through the real puppy stage , but my new TT boy will be in finland till he is 11 month's old , he is called Freddy :-) He is just 9 weeks and soooooooo cute
I love the name Sherbert!! However I do like strange names for pets... xx

I love these names too - my friend has just named her mini Dachshund puppy Mabel - great name!! :-)
I'm sad but as my new pup is 'my' first pup (ie the first dog I will have chosen myself) I am starting with the first letter of the alphabet, my next dog will be 'B' and so on....yes I need to get out more !!

Get my clumber pup on Monday, we're calling him Malachai. 3 yr old wanted to name him Sam, after her best friend. Not happy when I said no, too confusing as thats my name!!
Got the cage ready, the bedding, the food, the bowls, run out of things to do! Sam.
