Hi everybody
has anyone used/bought an easy to use.......easy to understand baby monitor recently in the hope that they may return to their very comfy bed after the 2 week vigil?
have looked in the argos catalogue only to be bombarded with digital/analogue/gobbledegook when all i want is a plug in one for pups bedroom and plug in one for ours?  the last time i used one was 28 years ago for my children........think they were wind up ones then!!

any recommendations would be gratefully received

Hi, I used one for my last litter and found it very successful, but beware they pick up every little snuffle and amplify it about a zillion times, best place to look for a used one is car boot sales or e bay.

I have used a baby alarm but as another poster has said they pick up every little noise and I found it very difficult to ignore.  The last litter I went back to bed at 3 weeks, my bedroom is over the room the pups were in and could still hear well enough without the aid of the alarm.

Hi tina s
is largish detached but haven't moved out of 'their' room at night to test that possibility........good idea will try tonight........pointless buying one before trying - thanks.

Hi hillbilly
dont they have switch to regulate the sound level........you see how ignorant i am!!

Yes but it still seemed to pick up every sound.  If it was me and it was a first litter I would probably still use an alarm just for reassurance.

think you're right........can i ask what make you bought?  also i've been sleeping lol in the same room as them for the last week so it wont worry me to have the sound in my ear anyway!

It's a TOMY Walkabout Classic but as its around 5 years old now looks more like the Walkabout Baby Advance

I'm sure I paid about £30 in 2003.

Hi Pixieell,I bought a Tomy walkabout off ebay about 3 years ago for my litter and found it very useful I think I only paid £10 for it.

When I had the ordinary plug in units I always found Tomy ones the best.
