Can anyone tell me if time goes quicker some days than others? also when you get older does it go quicker still ?
There doesnt seem enough hours in the day sometimes and I wondered if apart from seeming to go quicker does it actually or is it me

Also if you sat and watch your puppy all the time would you see him growing or do they do it when your not looking :)
Please humour me :)

I think you must have too much time on your hands Mattie to be thinking of these things :D ;)
I can't believe how quick this week has passed as I've been off work and yet if I was at work it'd only be Tuesday by now if you see what I mean

Puppies definately grow when you're
not looking :) If you watch them all day every day they never change but when they sleep and do that loooooooong stretch they grow another inch ;) I'm sure when I went to bed last night Phoe still had bobbly knuckles predicting more growth and this morning they are straight !!!
Do I take it Ned is getting bigger then ? Any more pics on offer?

Don't feel badly, Mattie, not your imagination, it's true :( :)
Last year I mentioned to my mom how the year had absolutely raced by.... She told me that the sensation 'only gets faster as we become older' My grandmother is just getting used to 2002 and it's almost over

I could have used this speed when I was in school...an hour would never pass as quickly as this past year has :D
On the other hand, I think that in Alamogordo, New Mexico, it's still July 1998 --- the month that would never end

o k then
yes time goes very fast except when you're waiting for something /someone and time goes faster the older you get .If you watched your puppy all the time NO it would not grow in front of your eyes ----when did a puppy ever do anything you wanted it to /when you wanted it to :)
Puppys do everything when you're not looking -you very rarely see them chew the leg off the chair or sh*t in the middle of yor best rug -but you always find it later :D
I must admit I would have far more hours in the day if I stayed off this site !!!!!!

It's not the dust --
my sinuses have surrendered in this house --open stairwells  :(
It's the perpetual clutter within a narrow 4 story house that I can't deal with anymore

aah well -you see you are suffering the Ben Elton syndrome -the more space you have the more mess you make :D
He had a theory about bins -how you fill the bin and then start parking your rubbish around the bin .
We had a very harsh clear out about 6months ago -if you havn't worn it for 12months -lash it !
if you havn't used it /played with it for 6 mths -Lash it !
I had a wardrobe full of clothes -waiting for coat dresses and peter pan collars to come back in fashion --now I just have an empty wardrobe :(
and a very dusty house :D

I don't know who Ben Elton is/was, but he's exactly right!!!!!
"Dare to Dump" is our motto. If it hasn't been worn/used within a year or so, get rid of it!!!!
Unfortunately getting 'rid' of stuff here in recycle-crazy Germany is problematic. I have a room full of bags waiting for the charities to come around
It's also the stairs that cause problems for cleaning and organizing ;) Or at least I blame them....like CD :D
Yes, you've just got to de-clutter every so often to keep things manageable, haven't you ?
Have you been watching the BBC2 programme - Life Laundry ? It's hard to believe the amount of stuff that people can amass over the years. There was one about a woman whose kitchen was bursting at the seams with out of date food - yukk !!

Joyce I wonder if your talking about the one I saw- there was two enterances to the kitchen and the lady couldn't enter via the entance hall because of the junk stacked up:o Aparently her Grandmother had died a while before and she was holding onto all her clothes etc- that she couldn't bring herself to get rid of. She was also a single Mum and so every room in the house was took over by the kids stuff- she even had their pictures and paintings up all over the walls of her bedroom:o It was very sad really but she needed some space of her own and by keeping all the stuff she had she didn't have any room. When everything was out on the lawn and they were sorting through it- almost everything the wanted to get rid of- she said 'No, I need that because............'- eventually they got her sorted though and she let most of it go:)

Yes, same programme, Stacey. They feature someone every week who has, for one reason or another, allowed themselves to be overwhelmed by stuff they can't bear to part with - or so it seems until the Life Laundry Team gets stuck in !!
But the kitchen one was something else. And I think the woman involved was a nurse !

When I was 20 and coming up to my 21st Birthday (many moons ago) I worked with a woman who was about 58 or so ...she told me that once I had turned 21 the time would fly by ..and that soon I would be wondering where it all went to . I laughed (with the arrogance of youth *g*) but she was right! I cannot believe that Christmas is just around the corner AGAIN!

I missed Life Laundry :( - but I do live for Fly Lady. With 3 children, a filthy husband and a hairy dog the only way I can get anythign done is by FLYing.

(Permanent owner of a shiny sink since she bought a dishwasher!! - which my hubby still refuses to put things in and prefers to leave all over the kitchen work surfaces :()

Fiona,
It never changes I can assure you. They know you have a bit more time as you have a dishwasher so no need to wash by hand. They add things for you to do like picking the stuff up.
It drives me crazy.
I got married when I was 18 ( yikes) and got my dishwasher for my 19th Xmas ( sad cow I know) 13 years later I am still picking up , filling and emptying the dishwasher. LOL but it is nice to have it. It is one my "thing to always have list"

I got married when I was 19 and have finally gotten my dishwasher - I can't wash up as the sink is the wrong height for me and my back gives me terrible problems if I stand at the sink.
I got fed up with moaning at hubby to wash the dishes and ended up having to do them - it was during my 4th day flat on my back in bed that I decided enough was enough and bought the dishwasher. Hubby is worried now though as the washing up was the only thing I 'needed' him to do, now I've got the dishwasher he's redundant!!

Wow is that spooky. Just ahd a look at your fly lady and only read the first step, shiny sink. I had a blitz in my kitchen last night and told hubs I'm sick of getting up to mess in the kitchen each morning and scrubbed the sink clean and shiny, and this it how it has to be from now on. Well it must be an omen reading this today so Fly lady here I come!!!

Me too Flodo.
I had a quick look yesterday and then "flied" my sink, then the kitchen, then the bedroom. I don't know how it worked but I'm flying from now. It just seemed to motivate me and give me the boost I needed :)
In other words....I was probably just needing a boot up the back.... :D
