my pups are 4 1/2 wks old now they are on 5 meals a day now they are on burns dry which i just used boiled water to soften it the pups are still ocassionly feeding from mum but she doesnt let them feed for too long (iam not surprised though now they have teeth) my question is as saffy isnt letting the pups feed that often should i also give them some welpi to lap up aswell as there food or should i just start to give them water.thankyou in advance

Water should be down all the time now.  My pups weren't getting much off mum at that age either, but I didn't use welpi.  Also I didn't use boiling water (I think it takes some of the goodness out), just used warm water and had to soak it for longer!

My pups are 6 weeks old today, they have there food soaked and after they have eaten i put a bowl of nutrolac milk down for them, i also leave water down all the time.

Don't feel stupid - I think many of us forget that milk is a food and that pups need water as well once you start weaning.  Hope your puppies continue to thrive.
