Well I dumped E&L as the premium jumped about and no-one seemed to be able to sort it out. So I went to Pinnacle as the premium seemed ok, and they offered life-long cover. I filled in the questionnaire about previous problems, but forgot to mention she had a minor ear infection (as many spaniels do) about 8 months ago. You know what it's like with puppies, it seems like you're at the vets every week. But Pinnacle phoned the vets and got details on the ear problem, then issued my certificate with 'ear problems' as an exclusion. When I called them, they said it could be removed after 2 years with no further problems.
So I was busted for not disclosing all the details :) and now I feel like a criminal trying to cover-up! But I have learned a lesson here, that is go to a different vets if there is something you just need a quick look into, then it won't appear on your regular vets' records. Should have known this already really, as I went to the docs once as I was having trouble sleeping. Next time I applied for life insurance they put an exclusion on, as the docs report said I had depression, when all I really was, was p****ed off at work, was travelling the world, and had trouble sleeping sometimes with everything going on.
