Hi there, just wondered if anybody's dogs had suffered any of these symptoms and could shed some light on what may be wrong with my dog. My staffie x is 10 years old and for last year or so has had a 'bloated' look, had a decreased appetite although looks very fat!! He seems depressed although still happy to go on walks. He had a dental, lump removed form his leg and his anal glands flushed about three months ago. At this time he had bloods done which were normal, he has also very recently had a thyroid test which was normal.
Everyone keeps commenting on how much weight he has put on which is really annoying because he eats very little. He isnt drinking or weeing anymore than usual and no vomiting or diarrhoea.
I work at a vets and had him looked at various times and they think that the majority of problems would show up on blood tests??? Im very confused as he doesnt seem himself, my hubby thinks I am going mad he thinks its just middle age spread and his age and that he is just slowing down!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks

Addisons or cushings??? Although he has conflicting symptoms???

Yes ive thought qabout this but the symptoms are confusing! Might bring him in for an ACTH Stim test and see what happens.

I hope he feels better soon :)

Have they done, I think it's both T3 and T4 thyroid tests as I believe here many vets only do the one.

No havent done T3, never heard of us doing that?

I would have said possible addisons and that wouldn't necesarily show up on normal bloods, it would be worth getting the specific blood tests and injection done for that?
