Can anyone recommend puppy training classes in north west? I am based in Atherton near Bolton

If no one has a personal recommendation you could search the APDT website. Their members use reward based methods for training so it's a start. I'd go to view any puppy class without my dog first to see if I was happy with the class and the trainer.

Also have a look on http://www.obedienceuk.com/viewprofile.asp there's a list of dog clubs.  Most of these will run initial training classes.

Hi Alfsmum we used to go dog training classes  in westhoughton, its about 8 or 10 yrs ago now dont know if its still going, It was in  an indoor riding arena. I think the place was called Lands Farm do not have the phone number anymore but perhaps someonelse will know the phone number

I walk at Rivington and meet quite a few dogs that have attended Buddies Dog Training (Chorley Old Rd). I think the contact details are Karen on 01204 844901 or Gail on 07929 610 155. The training methods seem to be kind and all the dogs have been delightful and well behaved.
