( stolen gsd ) :(
Hi
Just let you all now that Bomboms home, he was recovered in the early hours of this morning. :) :) :) :) Nightmare over :)
He's well and tired out so he's spent most of the day on the bed catching up on zzzz's.Bless him.
Would like to thank everyone for their unrelenting support, the poster makers and the time spent putting them up.:) :) You've been brill...thanks.
I couldn't have got through it without you all.
For all of you who have their babies still misssing, my heart goes out to you it really does, have faith , do everything you can think of and never lose sight, that your baby would never give up on you :) keep looking and never give up !! Follow every possible lead you get and maybe one day, you'll be able to post a similar post as this. It's taken 3 months for Bom to be home and seems like 3 years.Anyone who ever needs help, support or just a shoulder to cry on, Champdoggers are always there.
Making myself cry now so I'm going ( silly bugger that I am )

Tracey,
I am so pleased to hear he's home, I have often wondered what was happening but didn't like to intrude. Heard on another list about a dog that turned up after a year so it pays to never give up hope. I am really glad that this has had a happy ending

What a relief!!
- By AGIOSGSDS [gb] Date 31.10.02 22:40 UTC
Hi Guys
Thanks for all the posts...I can feel the relief and sincere feelings through your posts.
As far as tracking him down, just have to make the dog toooooo HOT to handle ! We put news about him everywhere we could, he was in the dog papers, just about every site we could think of, newspapers...we had calls and calls and followed every one of them as if it was a major lead.Eventually one of the calls led to BOMBOM.
I have to say though, I wasn't aware of the laws surrounding a stolen dog,it's quite astounding really.I don't know wether to put it on here or not in case the wrong people check our sites...what do you rekon ??? do you think they would probably know anyway ??? :o
- By Kash [gb] Date 31.10.02 23:45 UTC
Put it all on- name and shame:D :D :D No seriously though I'm dying to know how you eventually got him back- I already know the first half (Sheff CH Show-remember;))- you could always leave names out though if you think it would be better that way:) But I really do think you should *tell ALL*- it might open some of our eyes to the laws etc surrounding it all:)

Hi Guys
I couldn't get on later last night cos flippin L parkins was hogging again.:)
Have to be careful what I put cos of libel ect...
But..... When you find out who has your dog and you follow them and everytime they look round you are there..watching..it gets to be a little unbearable.Basically you reverse the torment you feel and direct it right back to the person who's causing it.When it's your dog thats missing you will nevr break to the point of giving up, but the person who steals breaks cos they don't have the love to keep them going, and what they hope to accomlish doesn't come close to what I had to accomplish.
As for the laws... If you have a dog stolen, there is no law been broken unless you can prove that the intent is to never return the dog.Basically a dog can be stolen and if the thief then turns up in 2 months time with the dog on a lead and walks him/her in to your garden, the thief can say that they just borrowed the dog ! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT ?????
Apparantly this law also applied to cars before TWOC ( taken without owners consent ) was introduced. Why they didn't pass the law for anything that was stolen rather than just cars I have no idea.So BEWARE guys, watch your dogs get them identified in every way you can and make them too hot to handle, cos the law doesn't protect them.
Sorry I can't put the full details of everything on here, but Leigh would have me strung up..eh Leigh??? :)
Bye guys ..I'm off for a cuddle with MY BOY xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx :)
- By Leigh [gb] Date 01.11.02 13:39 UTC
Just watching your back for you ;-)
- By AGIOSGSDS [gb] Date 01.11.02 14:53 UTC
Hi Leigh
I know you are...:) :) :) sorry I spelled your name wrong earlier :O
God I'm so happy :) and a weeeee bit crazy :)
- By eoghania [de] Date 01.11.02 15:24 UTC
the thief can say that they just borrowed the dog ! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT!!!

OMG, I just can't believe that messed up law exists. Flippin Heck! "Borrowed" my dog for what????? I don't see them doing carpentry around the homestead.......and without any permission?????  Geesh, I don't let people pick up my dogs...why would I ever let them just take them home for several months?

Sounds like the law needs to change somehow. I'd be in definite difficulty in attempting to control my temper if someone ever did this. And I know brute violence in the UK isn't acceptable either  Are you sure y'all aren't "through the Looking glass" after all?

I am so pleased for you, I can remember reading about it when I came back from holiday and that seems an age away now so how long it's felt for you I have no idea:(

I am so pleased that he is back where he belongs:D
- By steve [gb] Date 01.11.02 23:10 UTC
really happy for you :) glad he's back
- By Trevor [gb] Date 01.11.02 15:46 UTC
This is brilliant news. :D
I am so pleased you have him back. :D
If I read your post right are you saying that the person who actually *stole* him was still in posession (sp?) when you found him, and that you followed this person around?
Whatever way it happened thank goodness you persisted.
Nicky
- By AGIOSGSDS [gb] Date 03.11.02 22:51 UTC
For Trevor....yeah we followed the person who had Bombom everywhere..night and day we had a team of people watching his every move !! This person had so many properties that were un accessible to us it was difficult, we climbed walls , jumped fences, stood in fields getting surrounding by cows :) we even went in other peoples gardens dodging security lights etc and learned to run very fast !!
Trust me when someone has ya baby nobody and nothing gets in your way....you go kind of demented and stop at nothing.
Just sooooooo pleased it was all worth it ...and believe me when I got that first lick and whine in my ear after 3 months no other feeling comes close.
I just feel so bad for all the poor people who have their babies still missing, wish I could wave a magic wand and get them all back. :(
As I've said before..NEVER GIVE UP !!
Tracey

Been away for a bit just catching up poor you and great you have your dog back lots of licks from Molly :)
- By Kash [gb] Date 02.11.02 10:55 UTC
Tracey- email me then with the gossip- I'm a nosey sod so you can't keep me in suspense like this:D :D :D By the way- I'm debating whether or not to phone for a schedule for the league show in Dec- gotta bite the bullet sometime haven't I- just rather nervous:rolleyes: Terry Hannan said she'll probably look better in the back end of junior since she needs time to come on a bit with coat etc? She looks too leggy- no feathering but he said she could be doing with the bit of experience- well we both could:) Are you planning on going?

- By dot [gb] Date 02.11.02 15:05 UTC
