Topic Dog Boards / Behaviour / bananas and oil!!!

It must be a Monday thing!! I have come home to carnage again! After realising last week that Khan could move the barrier in the kitchen we took steps to make the all of the kitchen puppy safe so he could have a bit more room without creating havoc. Well today he somehow managed to get the plastic bottle of sunflower oil even though it was further away than other stuff he could have attempted to get and also managed to pilfer the bananas and apples out of the fruit bowl but the bowl remained on the table!! I am beginning to think he has wings! I am hoping that most of the oil that came out was what i mopped up and i am yet to find a missing apple but the bananas (3 I think) have definitely been eaten barring the skins!! It obviously made him a bit sick which looked a bit oily and some strange white slimy stuff too was in it.
Anthing else I should look out for?
He, of course, is now sleeping it off! I haven't given him any lunch and will only take him for a short lead walk later if he livens up. I imagine that he won't have much problem pooing either now and I wonder if his coat will be extra shiny!!
I shall post this in health too!
Many thanx

I wouldn't worry too much. The bananas were probably a bit excessive (3!!) and might give him a tummy ache, but he should pass them pretty fast. I give my girl the oil her mackerel comes in and she hasn't had one upset tummy and her coat is seriously soft and shiny. I also have a pilferer... just came home from the gym to find she had stolen the dish sponge, metal scourer, a plastic milk bottle filled with water, 2 water bottles, a cushion from the sofa, some paint roller spongery things and also pulled the bin bag out of the bin and tipped it everywhere. Luckily it was mostly paper etc, no food scraps. She has a bazillion toys but prefers to steal... little minx!!
Fingers crossed your boy is totally fine. xx

I'm very impressed that not only did he get the bananas without disturbing the fruitbowl, but that he also took the skins off them before eating them! That's one hell of a training class you've got him enrolled in!!!

I would definitely move quickly if he looks like he needs to go out later! :o)

I'm sorry I shouldn't laugh but a scourer!! Sounds like she got a good teeth clean! He does seem fine but just testing him on a few chews before I do dinner later! I have to say that I'm sure the oil has worked it's way to his coat already as his head does feel softer than normal! It's almost like he can read my mind as I was only thinking over the weekend about whether he needs a bit of oil...........!
many thanx for your comments

He never ceases to amaze me either! And with regards to the training classes it has been suggested that we take him to gundog training but i'm a little concerned about what he'll come back with on a general walk!! Maybe a rabbit fully skinned and diced....?!

Personally I'd be more concerned about what he might do given access to a gun!!!!
See my other comment on the other thread you posted this on.
BTW, he's not called G. Khan is he?!!!

funny you should ask that... We all put names in a hat my eldest wanted 'spork' (his new word of the day!) but we rejected that! so he put in Ghengis and Khan, my youngest put in Shadow and Joss (all our initials) and I chose Jasper and Baldrick (definitely more fitting methinks!) and Khan was pulled out! My husband had already chose breed of dog and puppy.

Not sure he will take on all of his namesakes traits!
