Entries close next week, where has the year gone.  LKA always reminds me of the year closing.  So who's entered?
- By breehant Date 16.10.08 13:48 UTC Edited 16.10.08 13:51 UTC
I am hoping so, although I need to twist OH's arm. Problem is have a combined show in germany the week before, and the week before that show is the Winners Show in Amsterdam, and what with Christmas and all it gets very expensive. Will be puppys first outing, can't wait.

Plus not shown at all yet this year due to things been hectic, but finally can get back at it can't wait. lol :)

ive entered, Alfs first limit class - should be interesting :)
- By cornishmals [gb] Date 16.10.08 14:35 UTC
We haven't as no Alaskan Malamute classes!!!Shame on them, think its put many Mal owners off.Strange as they are offering C.Cs in the breed in 2010!
- By Reesy [gb] Date 16.10.08 14:36 UTC
Why is that?
- By Jeff (Moderator) Date 16.10.08 16:39 UTC
Just entered the new girl-not sure how she will cope but will do my best to prepare her!
Jeff.

No idea why they haven't got Mal classes.Did last year.Surprising as there were over 270  Mals at last month Breed Champ show, and 140 + Mals at General Champ shows.Even local open shows are havin 18+ Mals entered.
- By vinya Date 16.10.08 17:16 UTC
my little girl is entered, it will be her first champ show and her 3rd show all together. she has her first show on the 16th of November. I cant wait. I will be really nervous going to the LKA but looking forward to it :)
- By yrlance Date 16.10.08 18:13 UTC
It will be our boys first show, he will be just 6 months, gulp.  I just hope he enjoys himself we can get down to more serious stuff later on. :)
Taking our girl to keep him company as she takes it all in her stride now.

Trying to talk OH into entering his boy would be his first junior class. He's a miserable old thing though!!
- By Ems Mum [gb] Date 16.10.08 19:31 UTC
Going but not showing. Shopping instead!!
- By ottoman Date 16.10.08 19:42 UTC

Entered and hoping to actually make it! Everyone decided to come down with kennel cough just in time for LKA last year :-P
- By tripie [gb] Date 17.10.08 12:16 UTC
Entered, and hoping to make it this year!
Depending on the weather, its a 7.5 hour journey for us!
- By AliceC Date 17.10.08 14:15 UTC
I know how you feel Jude - no Sammy classes either :-( That's really strange though how they are offering CC's in 2010 - odd!
- By cornishmals [gb] Date 17.10.08 14:24 UTC
Obviously my £21 x 4 isn't good enough!LOL.Well I will have to spend it on myself and Woos of course.
- By ice_queen Date 17.10.08 16:51 UTC
Yup wer're going.  Only one dog and car sharing! Should be a cheeper show even with high entry fee's!
- By Gabrielle Date 17.10.08 17:14 UTC
They have taken Aussie classes off too, in view of them giving them CC's there in 2010.. Very silly decision, but when questioned they said it was to try and support newer breeds without CC's...
The usual Aussie crowd are still going to have a Christmas party overnight after the show though !!! :-)

Afterall there's only so many breeds they can put on over 2 days!  Shame really that it is such a small champshow.

It is the best show of the year I feel, a real doggy Christmas show, and from the exhibitors point of view nicer than Crufts.

Anyway don't worry we will all look after you if you make yourself known.

Is your first show the Nordic?

Didn't enter this year.

Don't know if Lexi will actually have any coat by LKA (only 4 1/2 months after a litter) but will enter her.
- By cornishmals [gb] Date 18.10.08 08:54 UTC
Is the Nordic a nice show?We were going to enter last weekend, but we are going to visit our new pup a couple of weeks before and hopefully collect her a couple of weeks after the Nordic show and as we live in Cornwall it would mean travelling 1900 miles in a month!
Hoping to go next year.
- By vinya Date 18.10.08 10:42 UTC
The Nordic will be her second show. she is going to her first the week before at the Notts showground. She was moving really well in ring craft this week. :) . my OH said I can pick some xmas prezys at the LKA. so that makes it more exciting :) I will be nervously looking for someone to guide me as to what to do and when to go in the ring , so I will be making my self known to everyone lol

Hello!
Well It's going to be my first show with my new puppy who will be just 7 months then! I'm not expecting anything, I'm just hoping not to make a fool of myself! Just want her to show herself well... It's also going to be my first real show in the UK. I used to show my boy in France but that was years ago, and things felt more relaxed over there too... Bit nervous really!
- By Brainless [gb] Date 18.10.08 20:10 UTC
I love the Nordic show as it is the only one in the UK that has all the Spitz breeds on one day,a s we are spread among all the groups except Gundog and Terrier.
- By vinya Date 18.10.08 21:15 UTC
yes I cant wait to see all the other spitz Brainless. Spitz and hounds are my favourite types of dogs. I am looking forward to the Nordic show, and at least we know the way there now after going to The NECGB show :)
- By Tanya1989 [gb] Date 25.10.08 15:01 UTC
my little boy is entered. his and my first champ show, i can't wait!
- By CLOUGHROE [ie] Date 29.10.08 20:35 UTC
We have entered and hope to get across, unfortunately ferries have become so expensive...
Does anyone know where you get details of show in european countries ie amsterdam etc
- By CALI2 [de] Date 29.10.08 20:51 UTC
It will be my 1st show back in the UK with my new import girl, though still got to do the move to N.I first. I'm looking forward to getting back to the UK shows and seeing old friends again.
- By MADDOG [gb] Date 30.10.08 11:40 UTC
Well we've entered, whether we actually get there is another matter!  Will be pup's first Champ Show & poor lad will be in Junior AVNSC at 6 months.  Not sure why there are so few classes think LKA must have forgotten that a lot of breeds have come off import reg. this year!

Least we can be the entertainment element of the class if nothing else :-D  Finally conquering the travel sickness so you never know we may get there in one piece.
- By Blue Date 30.10.08 12:49 UTC
I am the same with LKA think it is a great Christmas show, just wish at times it was a bit closer to me :-) but I always go.
- By echo [gb] Date 31.10.08 12:41 UTC
Got the new puppy in and Beardies, the rest are having a rest lol. Got everything crossed to qualify my baby, including eyes.

Good Luck everyone
- By perrodeagua [gb] Date 31.10.08 13:04 UTC
Oh well not going, missed the mid-day entry and the sec. wouldn't accept anymore entries.
- By Blue Date 31.10.08 13:22 UTC
The LKA always seem to have been a bit tight with the closing date. Others are a little more come and go even for 24 hours.
- By perrodeagua [gb] Date 31.10.08 14:01 UTC
I know phoned up same day but nope they wouldn't accept.  Oh well won't be getting my puppy through to Crufts.  Still at MC there were loads of girl pups and only 2 males!
