Topic Dog Boards / Health / Something to stop scaring?

Hi everyone,
My mad 5 month old pup ran into a tree in our garden about 2 weeks ago.
He got a small cut (aprox 1cm) between his eyes, nothing too bad, thank God. I cleaned it all up and it has been healing nicely but I was just wondering if anyone had any tips for reducing the possibility of scaring?
I know humans can use bio-oil stuff, can dogs?
Heaven only knows if this pup will even make it to the show ring in one piece, he's crazy!! ;)
Any tips welcome.
