I thought of the same 'object' as the 98% but the other thing I thought of was different. (I hope this makes sense, I'm trying not to give anything away)

I'm an odd bod too - 2% but colour was right.

Its weird isnt it! I was totally shocked though when i was right, was thinking, "can the computer read my mind" haha, but a lot of others i sent it too at work, it didnt work! Odd isnt it, so must be more than 2%... creepy stuff!

my hubby has just done the test. and guess what,,,,,, he said red hammer!!!!

I had a Blue Spanner as well.
I think because the colour of the screen is blueish and then i had to think of a tool and there is a spanner next to me..

Bearing in mind most of us are the '2% that didnt think red hammer', surely this thread disproves the whole point of theory: that 98% of people think of red hammer.
I have not counted the replies on the thread for exact stats, but couldnt it more truthful that you would come up with a result along the lines of something like:
83% dont think of red hammer, or more truthfully, think of any colour or tool, and 17% do think of red hammer....just as an example.
Or even more likely, there is no such '98%-2% formula', people simply think of various tools and various colours, incl red hammers? This can also includes hammers of different colours?

I thought red Spade, so I take it I am weird too. LOL

I was another blue spanner too!
I think the blue came form the background of the forum. No idea why a spanner though.
