Are they in cloud cuckoo land if they think the breeding laws actually protect dogs from exploitation.  The law actually makes it easier as the only way a puppy farmer can sell pups under 8 weeks is to sell them to a Pet shop or dealer.

They are in cloud cuckoo land on everything aren't they. didn't see anything specific to 'pups under 8 weeks', seems to apply to any age pups.
They are on about 'recently introduced accredited breeder' I take recent as within last 6-12 month max - or are they on 'don't time fly when you are having fun' :-)
seems to be usual standard = lots of words without actuaally saying anything!

The people who make these laws live in the clouds, they should be made to visit a puppy farm on spec! they have never see the animals they produce, it is well below them, they are not really bothered to much trouble.
Lic. should be expencive, so it covers randam checks on the establishment. RSPCA and the local goverment should be fined it they over look the standards of these establishments. Make some one accountable!!

There are two protest demonstrations being held next weekend in Manchester and in Leeds against puppy farmed puppies being sold in pet supermarkets. I am sure they'd like some extra support if you have nothing to do that day. Protesters are meeting between 11 and 11:30am.

I am at a show in Scotland next weekend.  God, how I wish I was in Manchester to demonstrate.

Can anyone else who WILL be at home in that area please go in my stead.  Words cannot express my feelings on the subject.

If you go and are approached by the press or TV do be aware there will be some elements there who are very anti the KC and pedigree dogs... if you get my gist! They want to make out that the puppy farmed pups are all KC reg which we all know is rarely the case.

There is to be a follow protest in London on the 20th December

They should make a law so pet shops cannot sale puppies or any live stock at all.
Good luck on the march wish i could be there but over the next two months i am at
the dentist to have teeth out.
