>Why dont they use someone whose 80 odd with and oversized boob job like Jordon used to have

Are there any? If so it'd be a great way to show how daft they'll look in 50 years time!
- By philly256 [gb] Date 07.10.08 19:17 UTC
I am getting a girl with wings on my back Rach85. She will be holding an artists doll with a face in her arms
She will be surrounded by flowers which hopefully will extend and cover my wholeback

the point i was making was it dont matter if it looks daft or not....people who made the advert obviously think it does. They couldve used something different....why is is always alternative stuff is seen as daft or stupid mistakes in peoples eyes.....when  yeah ok daft choice an 80 yr old with a boob job probs wont exist but if they did......

Do you see my point?

Not really. It's human nature (and indeed in the animal kingdom as well) to pick on those who stand out from the crowd. (Albino animals are frequently harrassed to death.) With people it's a desire to be different that makes us do different things - we do it to be different. Therefore we must expect to be noticed - and if other people think it's daft or stupid, that's as much their right as it is ours to believe we look great! Everyone's entitled to their opinion. :)

reminded me of that frying pan advert that is currently being shown on the TV

That advert really makes me laugh LOL

In the days when their suggesting she had a tattoo they didnt even have tribal designs, it was only a 'mans' thing to have tattoos hence why all older men (IE my grandad and his era) have only eagles, anchors, skulls or names as they were the only designs round at the time really so where she got her tribal design from I dont know as that kind of design wasnt around when she suggests she had it 'many' years ago lol!!
Silly advert that doesnt even relate to what its trying to sell!

If someone doesnt want a tattoo thats fine I wouldnt give them a hard time about it but what gives them the right to dissaprove of mine and give me a hard time?? (Not referring to anyone on here ;) Just in general I mean)
Its on my body not anyone elses so why people try to make others feel bad about when their older with tattoos isnt needed really, curiosity yeah but telling someone 'you WILL regret it blah blah blah blah' isnt really any of their business and they can keep their opinons to their selves after all if you have nothing nice to say dont say nothing at all!! :)

Hi Rach and other tattoed people!
Do you guys have Sky?
Have you watched Miami Ink?
Kat von Dee is the bomb - what a talented tattoist!
Don't have tattoes myself, but think they can look quite effective.  To each their own :-D

Thing is that many people do come to regret having the tattoos done when they are older.

One of my puppy owners (male) had tattoos done when in the army and they are on his neck.  Now as a mature adult he finds them embarrassing and always wears his shirts buttoned right up or polo necks.

Have you ever watched documentaries about the 60's and the Hippies,a nd then seen what they grew up into, staid business men in many cases.

None of us know how we will change and what sort of people we Will be  in 20 - 40 years, so something as permanent as tattoos need a great deal of thought, especially large very visible ones.

I always fancied having one, but the idea of needles has put me off, but now I am glad I never, as I do worry about how I would feel about them when older.

I love the complex colourful ones, but hate the all black blue ones if they are large.

Thats what i was trying to say...i just dont explain myself at all well really do i lol.:)
It just annoys me that people who look /dress different are always picked out to ridicule when for exaple they wouldnt choose an 80 yr old with a jordan sized boob job cos it would not be right to take the mikey.

I totally  agree if you choose to look different you should expect to be stared at and my friends and I are used to it,we dont mind, what we object to is being made subjects for ridicule like that advert does, which doesnt help us stop the idiots who spit at us in the streets, call us freaks and sometimes even assault us for no reason other than we look different. It happens to people in my group of friends on a regular basis and they do nothing other than go about their buisness to deserve it......One of whom runs her own very successful buisness I might add which is probably more than those idots will ever do

I for example would think an 80 yr old lady with a Jordan sized boob job would look a little odd and its not something I would do myself, but I wouldnt make fun of her in any way shape or from  I would just accept that that is what she has chosen to do with her body and thats fine by me...at the end of the day no one should be ridiculed for how they look full stop and adverts like the pan advert should not be aired imo thats all.

Kat Von D is the most beautiful woman I have ever seen.....her work is fantastic and I would be so honoured if I was lucky enough to be in a position to be tattooed by her, likewise Chris Garver, Ami James or Dan from London Ink

I do agree with you Brainless that some people may regret it when they are older, and yes there are ways to have them removed albeit expensive. Thats why I thought long and hard about what I wanted to put on my body and I know I will never regret any of them....I got my first tattoo at 30 so I wasnt exactly young and daft. The thing that annoys me is the fact that people feel they have the right to comment and make fun when what I do to my body is noones buisness but theres...harrassing me in the street is just not on.......

As for you fancying one ...the needles are not bad at all depending on where you get it and how big it is....in fact I love the sensation....none of mine hurt but I do have a very high pain tolerance.....the adrenalin rush after it is something that cannot be explained unles you have been tattoed....Rach85 will know what I am talking about....

If you really want one go ahead and get one...

Picking on individuals is wrong and unkind. Laughing at a general concept (tattoos going saggy and wrinkly with age, skinny old women with two footballs on their chest, etc), however, is impersonal. The freedom to laugh at ideas should be cherished. ;)

And then, of course, if something's visible it's in the public domain. I'm sure we all pass comments on various front gardens that we pass!

Ok Jeanjeanie if that is how you choose to look at it I fully accept thats what you think, its youre opinion I respect that and I take it in the way  you are meaning it( ie not in a bad way ),I however dont think it is so we will chose to agree to disaggree shall we.... I dont want you to think Im trying to pick an arguement with you,,its so difficult on these boards to judge a persons tone etc ....so much easier speaking face to face I think lol :)

Im doing just that cos I missed the episode where Kat left and the episodes leading up to it.
I know it was because her and ami had a fallout and ive seen bits of the story but  but as to what  actually happened i still have no clue

I love her new programme LA Ink though...Do you watch that?
- By Tessies Tracey Date 08.10.08 11:01 UTC
Oh blimey - I haven't seen that one!  How did I miss it?
I tape them because I work during the day - I must be way behind!

Seen some of LA Ink, but not going to Sky plus that until I get through the other lot - will keep an eye out for it - thanks!
You know Ami has a website too :-)
(As do most of the other stars of the show!!)

I have to say with 100% conviction I WILL NOT REGRET my tattoos anytime in my lifetime, cant see why everyone keeps doubting people who have tattoos and their ability to pick one they wont regret?!
Why cant someone who doesnt have one just accept that a person wont regret their tattoos? You cant really say about it till you have one and know how special they are to the person who has it done so its well inconsiderate to even suggest they may regret it really isnt it?! Once again not just people on here but everywhere!!

I get so many people say 'Ooo you'll regret it'' but NO I WONT!!! lol I LOVE my tats and will never hide them or be ashamed as I live them to bits,Ill show them on my wedding day and my funeral and I will wear them with ultimate pride :)
- By Brainless [gb] Date 08.10.08 14:37 UTC

> I get so many people say 'Ooo you'll regret it''

The reason people say that is because they know so many people that do regret it, ti is always a chance, and tattoos really need to be treated as irreversible.

Next time we go to Newquay cornwall (Which is the only place I will get my tattoos as I see the place as spiritual for me :) ) Im getting the sun at the base of my neck and getting something on the lower part of my left leg, cant wait!!!
I love having tattoos done and seeing the end result, the place we use Eclipse she is so talented and all the designs on the wall are her own :) :)
She knows us really well too as I had 2 from her in one week last time, we stay past hours for some drinks and a chat about our tattoos :)
