> 'dramatically different moisturiser'

This stuff is amazing, works even better if you use the soap & cleansing lotion before too!  Clinique are very good at giving you free samples to try before you buy too!  I swear by it, have been using clinique stuff for years now & I hardly ever have any breakouts (touch wood!)  I know they are quite expensive but a little really does go a long way! Plus don't forget Xmas is coming so you can always add it to your wish list!

>> Any tips of what to put in water when i steam, or is water sufficient enough?

Water will be enough.......you only need to soften the skin and open the pores, this is what the steam does,no need to add anything else.

> Gosh being a woman is so much hard work issnt it!!

Tell me about it,If I go out I have to shower wash, dry and straighten hair, do nails and paint them, choose clothes, shoes etc, cleanse tone, moisturise face,do make up...takes an age doesnt it lol...Men have it so easy  ready in 3 easy steps known as the 3 S's ......S*** ,Shower ,Shave  and out lol lol lol (need a rolly eyes smiley here )

HAHA philly, that made me laugh about the 3 s's!!! LOL

Ohhh right ok, well how often would you say to steam then?? I was thinking twice a week?...

Thankyou!!! :)

I thought soup was bad for your skin...? Confused now haha

Or do you mean a special soap...think you do dont you, sorry, having a mad moment haha

Might pop into boots and ask for a free sample of that moisturiser then, cant harm can it to try it!!

Thankyou!!!

The very  best time to steam is usually before you apply a mask,it opens the pores and allows the mask to get right into the pores to draw out impurites deep in the skin so I would deffo do it then.If you cleanse tone and moisturise properly  daily, things like Steaming and masks etc need only be done once a week.

Its difficult to explain on here without getting too technical, because although you want to promote healthy skin by following a good skincare routine, you dont want to go too crazy and be overly harsh with your skin as this can make problems worse not better.
the main thing is to find products that suit your skin type...in your case oil free products that are not too harsh and once you have found them, stick to them and keep your skin care routine up religiously  too.

lol, you dont have enough dogs... :-)  baby wipe face.. run fingers through hair & go  ;-)

gosh I remember the days, when I had to preen, squint, squeeze, steam and slap the warpaint on before I would even open my front door (blush)

I also forgot to mention I have to make sure my pink hair is nice and bright and fit for inspection too...messy job involving colour, foil ,rubber gloves and plenty of protective sheets lol lol lol

I'd try Debenhams if you can or John Lewis their sales consultants are much friendlier!!
- By yorkies4eva [gb] Date 06.10.08 10:04 UTC
Do you know something, that could be true!! I havent personally spoken to them at those places, but i went into boots on saturday, and the woman didnt seem that interested in helping me, maybe it was because of my age i dont know, however she went away eventually and i got this other woman who seemed a lot more helpful and friendlier... i mean i was stuck for the colour so was checking if it was right and she was looking at me as if i was thick!! HELLO i am the customer here!!

But the other woman was a bit more helpful, but still didnt feel comfortable, and felt i had to rush my choice!! Might try there though next time!! Thanks for the advice :)

Might not have helped going in on a Saturday!  I'm lucky & work in city centre so tend to do that kind of thing when I'm on my lunch, they seem to have more time for you then!

Oh well, its done now and i got what i wanted i think! haha

Thanks everyone once again!! Its soo good how i or anyone can have a problem and so many people take the time to help!! :-D

I used to think that because im prone to get spots i wouldnt moisturise and that would stop my sking getting greasy and breakout - i was WRONG!!!!
I always use clearasil in the shower to wash my face, and then moisturise morning and night with a good quality cream. Its helped my skin A LOT!! I wish i'd used moisturiser earlier. I also have a 2l bottle of water beside me at work and try my hardest to ensure i drink it before i finish.
Good luck  :-)

Funny you should say that, i do the same, although i have 4 little bottles, which makes 2 litres!! Then have extra at night when i am thirsty!!

Its such a task dont you agree forcing the water down!! I find it easier as time goes along though, so really trying to stick to this regime now!! And i will defo moisturise and stick to it!! :-D

I'm getting used to drinking the water. Ive kind of worked out how much i should have drunk by what time of day. I also drink Herbal tea too which counts as fluid intake.
You will get there eventually. And your skin will be radiant !!:-)

Dont forget lots of food conatains water too for egsample friuts like Apple 70% water,Watermelon etc..and althought they wont supply the total amount of your bodies needs daily...they can help a bit...if the water is getting a bit boring put a slice of lemon or lime in it and stir it for a bit to add natural flavour without additives like the sweetners you get in flavoured bottled water...it might help too

Thanks for those ideas guys!! I added some of my friend from works cranberry cordial to it, which helped me to drink it and that is good for you so... just struggling along today again with the water hahaha

I use clinique, their foundations are wonderful and the consultants are really helpful with advising on the correct one to use.  Also try the clinique toner.  You will be amazed just how much grease and grime is left on you skin even after you think you've cleaned it.  I'm alway disgusted by the grubby cotton wool ball after I use it!
- By yorkies4eva [gb] Date 07.10.08 14:59 UTC
LOL!! I know there are some grubby cotton balls, however saying that, with my new facial wash, it doesnt leave hardly any makeup on and when i tone with my new toner it doesnt come off dirty hardly at all... strange isnt it, either my face is suddenly clean or the wash is amazing! Just thought about that now haha!! :)
