Do you think this is a good quality food. Used to feed it and dogs loved it and did well , but have only just found it in my area , have been feeding wainwrights and the dogs are doing just fine on it , so wondered if it would be worth while changing back (price is cheaper so feel i might be doing my dogs an injustice ..have the feeling that the dearer the food the better ..)Does anyone have knowledge of  ingredients (the ones on the back of the pack quoting protien and the likes )to advise me on it .... thanks

Not always the case.

If you feel your dogs have done well on both then this ->> so feel i might be doing my dogs an injustice cant be the case ;)

Just for you to consider, I'll ping up some 'breed specific' points:

1)With Siberians the ingredients that most commonly cause problems are Soy, Corn and Beet pulp.
Autarky is a cereal high diet in terms of protein source (bear in mind that Prairie Meal is a dried by-product of Maize starch consisting principally of gluten) and the form of protein in Maize 'Lipid transfer protein' is an undigestible protein... so when looking at the % for protein it may not be as high as it may appear. (Important if your Sibes are not sedentary?) the prairie meal has been listed separately to disguise the actual high quantity of a low digestible protein source.

Ok so for a Siberian its a low protein source...... Is this a problem?
2) Zinc deficiency is also a health issue within the breed. It is a recessive gene trait, a defect in absorption ( so necessarily  dietary but genetic), But the research papers do comment that:
'diets with low digestibility = reduced Zinc bioavailability'

I don't know if this helps but if money is the decider, I've found a link to a supplier offering Arden Grange at only £23 a bag! Bargain!! and Mucccch superior protein quality for a comparable price. HOWEVER this is cheaper than AG normally sells for so might be worth asking supplier first if this is just a limited time offer? Link to AG supplier for £23 bag

I tried my Akita on this but she got very grumpy and aggressive, switched her food back to Arden Grange and within a week or so she settled back down again.  Different food suit different dogs.  The only it has got it there is that BHA (can't remember if thats even the right letters - sorry!) its the chemical that is linked strongly with cancers.

Thank's , will look into it , but might just try a bag to see if they actually like and eat it .

The prices for all their food is quite a bit cheaper than anywhere else - funnily enough I only heard of this company 2 days ago, their shop is only a couple of miles away from us, we went along yesterday for a look and stocked up on dog biscuits! The shop prices are slightly higher than the online prices for some things, but still a LOT cheaper than anywhere else. I'll certainly be ordering my dog food there in future!

Do you think that any of the AG range is ok or is just that one that seems to be beneficial to huskies , I am not an expert on the contents of food just usual try to go with a brand without coloured food in it ( a bit of a silly way to buy but that is how i arrived on wainwright's when i could not find autarky)Mine are fed raw also just give them the dry as an alternative .

Berriewoods sells AG for a very good price (bit under 25) - less than from AG direct. If you like the food and that's a sale price there's another supplier for you.
