I wonder if anyone knows of any English Pointer Rescue's in the UK? I would be grateful for any help or advice anyone could offer.

Hi, I know this is an old thread, but wondered if anyone has since seen/heard about an English pointer rescue? we already have a 4 year old Pointer and would love to give  home to an older Pointer, any info would be appreciated as I have searched online many times and don't seem to be able to find anywhere? although maybe this is a good thing and there aren't any needing homes! Thank You

You might want to try here.  There are contact numbers and they may have a committee member in charge of rehoming.

Recently I was looking at one of the rescue sites - may have been Dogs Trust - I'm sure one of their rehoming centres had a Pointer.  Presumably they don't all get back to the Breed Societies.

I've just noticed that The Pointer Club has a breed show on 26th October in Leicestershire which may be worth a visit of you are able to get to it.  There should be plenty of committee members there and you may have a chance to introduce yourself after the judging.  You'll be surprised at how much more seriously you'll be taken if they know you made a special effort and it always helps to connect names to faces.
