Topic Dog Boards / Showing / Two pups in a show!!!
- By Dill [gb] Date 01.10.08 11:39 UTC
On Saturday, Two of my pups will be at a Club Ch show   I've never had this before :-D

The one I kept is entered and her brother, owned by a lovely family, is also entered (different classes ;) )  He was bought as a pet but they want to have a go, total beginners  :-)  He's lovely and I think has potential so I'm thrilled.  He's been back for a show trim, tho he has hardly any leg hair yet LOL

I also have the collywobbles LOL  My stomach is churning already at the thought of it all :roll them eyes:

Oh  and their mum is entered too

I must be mad!  Not sure why I feel so nervous tho, am I just being a woose?  It's over a year since I last showed any dogs  and I feel like a total beginner

Relax and enjoy it. :-) As soon as you walk back into the show atmosphere you'll be fine. :-)

Blooming unfair isn't it being nervous for other people :-o

I get really nervous doing HTM with my Beardie so a friend is starting to enter him for shows. I feel worse for her than I do myself!!!

Whoops!! Forgot to say good luck and have fun :-)

That's so true :) Being Terrier pups they are given some 'leeway' for messing around in the ring.  I've a feeling the Judge is going to be getting an enthusiastic welcome off them.  Hope he doesn't mind LOL

I'm really looking forward to meeting up with people  haven't seen for months!

I'm stocking up on the Rescue Remedy before I go  - just in case!

I know what you mean!  Lately, I have been handling my girls brother, Sunny, and now I have entered Cher in the toy specialty on the 18th.
Round here, basically all the min pins are related.  They all are similar in type and such, but its still nerve racking when of course I want my Cher to win (who wouldnt want their own dog to win) but I also want Sunny to take some points too!  And when I can get Scarlet out in the show ring, its going to be a real dilema!
Good luck at the show!  I always look and if one of my own dogs (or their siblings) take a class or points, then its kinda ok, no matter who does, because I want everyone to win!  Which cant happen, so somebodys has too

Good luck Dill - I'm sure your babies will do you proud and just think, it'll be lovely to catch up with your showing pals again :-) Do let us know how you get on !!

P.S. Crespin - Sunny and Cher - great names !!

Part of the enjoyment in showing is the relief of not throwing up with nerves after all :-D

You'll be fine Dill and I'm sure the babes will be stars!  At Richmond 4 of 'my kids' were reunited and it was fab meeting up with them again and letting them all rough house before, during and after the class - that in itself will help relax your nerves :)

Good luck and enjoy,
best wishes,

Teri

Yes!  I was 'reminded' several times LOL

Put the pup in and son will handle her, that should be fun! :-)

Luckily the 2 pups I bred, 1 went for a pet and the other went to America to friends of mine who'd fallen in love with my girl - he's doing brilliantly over there but no danger of running into them accidentally lol! Hope it goes well with your show!
