Our girl is now home :) and we have a problem of wooden stairs that are very slippery!
I do not want to limit her to downstairs only as I quite like having her a sleep next to my bed and she is used to this before she came here.
She doesn't run up and down all the time, only comes up when we go to bed which is great.
Going up is not a problem but I'm very worried she will slip and hurt herself when coming down (imagine 50kilos of Leo coming down with speed and slipping halfway).
She doesn't mean to go with speed but the angle of the stairs naturally increases her speed towards the end and she finds it difficult to go slow...
I have started to look for something to put on the stairs to make them less slippery and thought some people here must have faced the same problem. Would anybody have any tips on what we could use to make the stairs safer?
We live in a rented accomodation so carpeting whole stairs is not really an option (I do not like carpets anyway).
I remember seeing pieces of material that clues to the middle of the stairs, would anybody know what these are called?
English being my second language I have no idea of what I it is I should be looking for in Google etc, any ideas anybody?
