Does anyone know what scrap lead is going for price wise?
I have a very heavy roll of lead which is obviously no use to me but would like to sell it for scrap if the prices are good. I tried looking it up but did not find much.

In fact the dealing in scrap metal or the running of a scrap metal business is controlled by the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 1964 and no person may carry on the business of a scrap metal dealer unless they are registered to do so by their Local Authority.

If you log in to your local authority website they can direct you to their registered list and you should be able to ring a few to check prices.  Please don't be tempted to sell to anyone that isn't registered (see Church info above).  Also, be prepared to give your details to the dealer as well as an explanation of where the metal came from - they are supposed to ask you!!
